Who we are

At The Historic Oddfellow Manor, we are dedicated to preserving history, fostering sustainability, and reviving traditional skills. Based in Elkins, West Virginia, our mission is to educate and inspire through three key focus areas:

  1. Historic Preservation – We are committed to researching, documenting, and sharing the history of the Odd Fellows group home, a landmark built in 1908. Through education and restoration efforts, we aim to honor the past while ensuring its legacy for future generations.

  2. Sustainable Agriculture & Homesteading – We provide hands-on learning opportunities in regenerative farming, permaculture, orcharding, and raising animals. Our goal is to promote sustainable living practices that reconnect people with the land and their food sources.

  3. Traditional Skills & Self-Sufficiency – From food preservation and woodworking to sewing and blacksmithing, we teach essential skills that empower individuals and communities to live more self-sufficiently.

Whether you’re passionate about history, sustainable farming, or hands-on craftsmanship, there’s a place for you in our community. Join us as we work to preserve the past, cultivate the present, and build a more resilient future.
